Acer aspire one 751H(NETBOOK)

Acer aspire one 751H

With companies like Asus, Acer, MSI and others bombarding the market with these portable, affordable machines, net books are here to stay. Having changed the face of "Mobile Computing", they are better than the average laptop when it comes to portability and battery life and are an advantage to those who need it for basic requirements such as MS Office Application and connecting to the Internet.

The sleek Acer751H with a glossy black finish is ergonomically designed, is not more than an inch thick and weighs just about 1.35kg. Though the unit is prone to finger prints one can overlook this for its robust build quality. The glossy screen tends to attract a lot of glare in brightly lit room and can be a distraction while typing or watching a movie.

Under the 11.6-inch screen lid is a full-sized keyboard with well spaced keys. The net book has a 1366×768 display resolution, is capable of playing HD movies at 720p and has support for high definition audio. Like its predecessor the Acer 751H features a multi-gesture touchpad, while slightly angular VGA and Ethernet ports sets it apart from other notebooks.

The Acer 751H is based on the older Atom Z520 which operates at 1.3GHz. Nevertheless, the 751H will suffice if you don't plan to run demanding applications. The net book is also equipped with 160GB hard drive, 1GB of RAM, three USB ports, a multi-card reader, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. It can deliver an amazing eight hours of battery backup when working on applications such as MS Office and Paint.

The Acer 751H is a great laptop alternative with its wide 11.6-inch screen and full sized keyboard. But that's only applicable if you are ready to sacrifice performance over portability.
